NGOs Working on National Dialogues

  • The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) - IDEA is an intergovernmental organization that supports sustainable democracy worldwide. It develops, share and facilitate the use of comparative knowledge in our key areas of competence: electoral processes, constitutional construction, political participation and representation, and democracy and development. IDEA works upon invitation to provide in-country support based on our global comparative knowledge. IDEA frequently publishes reports on post-conflict constitution-drafting processes, including reports on national dialogue processes.

  • The Berghof Foundation - The Berghof Foundation is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organisation that supports efforts to prevent political and social violence, and to achieve sustainable peace through conflict transformation. The Foundation produces policy papers, transition series, books, annual reports, and handbooks on topics related to conflict transformation, including national dialogues.

  • The African Center for the Resolution of Constructive Disputes (ACCORD) - ACCORD is a South Africa-based civil society organisation working throughout Africa to bring creative African solutions to the challenges posed by conflict on the continent. ACCORD’s primary aim is to influence political developments by bringing conflict resolution, dialogue and institutional development to the forefront as an alternative to armed violence and protracted conflict. ACCORD specialises in conflict management, conflict analysis and conflict prevention.

  • The Inclusive Peace and Transition Initiative - The Inclusive Peace & Transition Initiative (IPTI) is dedicated to evidence-based research and its transfer to policy and practice. The objective of the initiative is to support sustainable peace by providing expertise and information on the inclusion of diverse actors in peace and transition processes. IPTI provides its insights and knowledge to international and national governmental/non-governmental organizations and conflict parties. .
