Negotiating Reconciliation, Political and Constitutional Reform, and Security Force Integration in South Sudan
The purpose of this negotiation simulation is to stimulate debate, identify key issues, and explore potential solutions to points of impasse regarding reconciliation, political and constitutional reform, and integration of security forces that could arise during the ongoing negotiations between the Government of South Sudan and the opposition leaders in Addis Ababa. The objective of the simulation is neither to suggest that any particular arrangement is necessarily the best for South Sudan, nor to reach consensus on the precise nature of a peace arrangement. Likewise, this simulation exercise is not intended to be a comprehensive review of all issues involved, nor is it intended to endorse one view over the other.
